Guyulla Dale Monroe, 87, formerly of 704 Black Oak Drive in St. Marys, OH died 6:40 p.m. Friday October 1, 2010 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born October 8, 1922 in Vandalia, MO to Elmer L. and Blanche V. (Greene) Jackson.

Survivors include:

son Dean (Deb Brewer) Monroe of St. Marys, OH

daughter Nancy Payne of Las Vegas, NV

2 granddaughters: Lorraine Galati and Heidi Collins both of St. Louis, MO

Her parents preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Hickey Business College in St. Louis, MO.

She was a homemaker and co-owner of the Knotty Pine Tavern in St. Marys for a number of years.

A member of the Hillsdale Baptist Church, she was also a lifetime member of VFW Post #9289 and American Legion Post #323 auxiliaries, all in St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included fishing and playing cards.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys.

Rites are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday October 8, 2010 at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, MO.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Garden in Vandalia, MO.
