Mary Ellen Minnich, 80, of 3 W. Plum Street in New Bremen, OH died 6:00 a.m. Thursday September 6, 2007 at her residence.

She was born August 10, 1927 in Fostoria, OH to Bert & Goldie (Bowers) Wallace.

On November 30, 1946, she married Robert E. Minnich, who died March 8, 1999.

Survivors include: daughter Linda Lou Luke of Cridersville, OH

Son, Robert Carl (Carla) Minnich of New Bremen, OH

3 grandsons: Austin, Mitchell & Spencer Minnich all of New Bremen, OH

She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband, sister Lona Wallace, sister Grace Long, sister Dorothy Cullen, sister Anna Ball, sister Betty Shepherd, brother Bert “Jim” Wallace, son-in-law Robert Luke

She was a homemaker and had owned and operated Minnich’s Carry Out in New Bremen for many years.

She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and working in her flower gardens.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2007 at the Miller Funeral Home (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St.Marys, with the Rev. Bill Maki, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St.Marys.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grand Lake Hospice program.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept.11 at Miller Funeral Home, Ohio 703 West Chapel, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
