Dorothy D. Felver McCullough, 90, of 768 Holly Street, Lima, Ohio, and formerly of Melrose, Ohio, died 4:42 P.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at the Ridge of Shawnee.
She was born June 17, 1918, in Mendon, Ohio, the daughter of Douglas and Ida (Summers) Hook.
She married Lewis “Dick” Felver on May 30, 1937; he preceded her in death on June 3, 1977. She married Warren McCullough on August 11, 1984 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2006.
She is survived by her two daughters: Joyce Ruffner of Lima; Karen (Robert) Hatcher of Lima; by 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren; by a sister, Ada Rumple of Napoleon, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 3 grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Dorothy was a 1937 graduate of the Mendon High School. She retired from Lima Memorial Hospital in 1984, where she had worked for many years as a surgical aide.
She formerly belonged to the Melrose United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and polka dancing.
Funeral rites for Dorothy will be held 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, the Reverend John Rumple, officiant. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be conveyed to the family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
