James M. Luneke, 64, of 5448 Wilson Drive in Celina, OH died 1:45 a.m. Sunday January 29, 2012 at his residence.

He was born July 31, 1947 in Dayton, OH to Carl L. and Gertrude R. (Raffel) Luneke.

On March 11, 1967 in Richmond, IN he married Phyllis A. George, who survives.

He is also survived by:  

Son, James Luneke  of Dayton, OH

Daughter, Angela (Rodney) Simpson  of Celina, OH

Son, Tim Luneke  of Dayton, OH

4 grandchildren: Seleste Luneke, Carrigan Luneke, Kristina Luneke, Raven Simpson

Sister, Loretta Luneke  of Tipp City, OH

He was preceded in death by his  parents, his brother, Carl Luneke, Jr., and his sister, Ann Esken

He was a 1966 graduate of Chaminade High School in Dayton, OH.

He retired as supervisor of facilities management from Montgomery Co. Home in Dayton. He also operated J.M. Luneke Building Maintenance in Vandalia for a number of years.

He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, OH.  His favorite pastimes included fishing, camping, boating and bowling.

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Wednesday February 1, 2012 at the church, with the Rev. Richard Friebel, C.P.P.S., celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation 4 – 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at MILLER FUNERAL HOME 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, OH.
