Mary Alice Longemeyer, 88, of 06105 County Road 33-A, Saint Marys, died 1:00 A.M. Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.

 

She was born December 28, 1922, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Daniel and Alice (Spicer) Hay.

 

She married Richard Longemeyer on January 19, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 3, 1998.
 

She is survived by a daughter, Sue (Michael) Zdrodowski of Crossville, Tennessee; by two grandchildren: Melissa Platzer of St. Clair, Michigan; Jeffrey Buss of Westminster, Maryland; by four great-grandchildren: Krystal Buss; Michael Buss; Marissa Buss; Kayla Platzer; a great-great-grandson, David Sacra; by a brother, Dan (Frieda) Hay of Saint Marys.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Annie Katterhenry.
 

Mary Alice was a 1940 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She retired from Alcoa Building Products in Sidney. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.

 

Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend David Williams, officiant. 

Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
 

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home, where, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
