Charles M. LoVine, 87, of 2100 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH died 9:30 Monday, June 9,2008 at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center in Dayton, OH. 

He was born October 29, 1920 in Lafayette, NY to George and Nora (Alfero) LoVine. 

On November 18,1946, he married Eleanor Cora Anderson, who died in February of 1996. 

He is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Sharon (Jim) Fredenburg of Fulton, NY

¨ Daughter, Mary Jane (Wayne) Hinman of Summerville, SC

¨ Daughter, Patty Abbot of St.Marys, OH

¨ Son, Roy (Bonnie) LoVine of Oswego, NY

¨ 13 grandchildren

¨ 16 great-grandchildren

¨ 1 great-great grandson 

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nora LoVine; wife, Eleanor LoVine; brothers: Horace, George, Bill and Adolph LoVine; sisters: Helen Clark, Nora LoVine and Gertrude LoVine. 

Mr. LoVine was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II. 

He retired from the Rowlee Construction Co. in Fulton, NY where he was a carpenter supervisor.  He was a member of the VFW Post #369 in Mexico, NY.  He enjoyed fishing.

Graveside funeral services, with full military rites, are scheduled 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17,2008 at the Vermilion Cemetery in Vermilion, NY.  The Rev. William O'Neil will officiate the service.
