Dean Lhamon, 86, of 131 North Perry Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 1:35 A.M. Sunday, December 16, 2007, at Joint Township Hospital.
He was born December 10, 1921, in Auglaize County, Ohio, the son of Clarence “Tim” and Magdalena (Loegel) Lhamon.
He married Norma Meckstroth on December 10, 1945; she survives at the residence.
He is survived by:

¨ Son, Mike (Sharon) Lhamon of St.Marys, OH
¨ Son, Tim Lhamon of St.Marys, OH
¨ Daughter, Denise (Dave) Wirrig of Greensburg, IN
¨ 7 grandchildren
¨ 2 great-grandchildren
¨ Brother, Doyle Lhamon of St.Marys, OH
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, an infant grandson, and a daughter-in-law, Pam Lhamon.
Dean was a 1939 graduate of Neptune High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.
He was the
owner of S and S Radio and TV in St.Marys and he later worked as a repair
technician at Hall’s Appliance in St.Marys.
He was a member of VFW Post 9289, American Legion Post 323 and Eagles Lodge 767,
all in St.Marys. He was the coach of the American Legion baseball team for many
years, as well as coaching little league baseball in Saint Marys. He was a fan
of the Cincinnati Reds and enjoyed gardening and working on the family farm.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Very Reverend David Williams, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the Thomas Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund.
