Eunice Elizabeth Lageman, 83, formerly of 409 South 25^th Street, South Bend, Indiana, died 10:20 P.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at Elkhart Hospice House, Elkhart, Indiana.

She was born February 24, 1925, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Laura (Hoge) Lageman.

She is survived by her two brothers: Henry Lageman of New Knoxville and James (Shirley) Lageman of New Knoxville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters: Dorothy Lageman and Grace Hatter.

Eunice had worked at the former Studebaker Auto Company. She was a 1943 graduate of New Knoxville High School in New Knoxville, Ohio. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Bend, Indiana. She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Funeral rites will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the First Presbyterian Church, 333 West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, the Reverend Bob Agnew, officiant. Graveside burial rites will be held 1:30 P.M. Sunday, January 11, 2009, at the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in New Knoxville, Ohio, the Very Reverend David Williams, officiant.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the First Presbyterian Church in South Bend. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, 200 West Spring Street, New Knoxville.
