Gladys A. Kuhlman, 94, formerly of 1125 Neil Avenue, Saint Marys, and a resident of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community since 2006, died Friday, May 20, 2011, at Otterbein Saint Marys.

She was born February 24, 1917, in New Bremen, Ohio, the daughter of Anthony and Ethel “Pearl” (Allen) Schwieterman.
She married Norman Kuhlman on November 16, 1940 and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2006.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Gladys was a 1935 graduate of New Bremen High School. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville. She enjoyed classical music; reading, attending the Ohio Light Opera and was a member of the Shakespeare Club.

Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend David Williams, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to either the Radio Broadcast Fund of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville or the Saint Marys Community Foundation.
