Margaret Koons, 98, of 1707 Celina Road in St.Marys, OH died 10:05 a.m. Saturday May 8, 2010 at her residence.

She was born June 18, 1911in Auglaize Co., OH to Javen Frank and Cecil Ellen (Schillinger) Croft.

On September 21, 1935, she married Herbert Koons, who died October 11, 1969.

daughter-in-law Kathryn Rohrbach of San Jose, CA

grandson Dennis Rohrbach of San Jose, CA

grandson Douglas Rohrbach of Brentwood, CA

great-grandson Kenneth T. Rohrbach of Santa Rosa, CA

brother Harold Croft of Clinton, MO

sister Norma (Charles) Fry of Clinton, MO

sister Lorraine (Rodger) Allmean of Los Altos, CA

She was preceded in death by: parents, husband Herbert Koons, son Kenneth M. Rohrbach

She was a 1929 graduate of Memorial High School in St .Marys.

She was a homemaker and retired from JTDM Hospital in St. Marys, where she worked in the dietary department.

She was a lifetime member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church in rural St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included reading and crocheting.

Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 13, 2010 at Miller Funeral Home & Cremation Service 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys, with the Rev. Steve Weatherly, officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in St. Marys.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home on Celina Road.
