Alice “Fay” Klinger, 61, of 911 Cleveland Avenue, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 5:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Joint Township Hospital following a short illness.
She was born February 26, 1947, in Combs, Kentucky, the daughter of John and Amanda (Turner) McPherson.
She married Richard Klinger on December 7, 1961; he survives at the residence.
She is survived by her five children: Samantha (Jeff) Clouser of Saint Marys; John (Stacey) Klinger of Saint Marys; Anna Vogan (fiance Max Deetz) of Auburn, Indiana; Richard (Michele) Klinger of Fort Hood, Texas; Robert Klinger of Saint Marys; by 29 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; by her siblings: Velma Delloro of North Haven, Connecticut; Jean Shorey of Auburn, Indiana; Missouri “Dude” (Richard) Warbel of Saint Joe, Indiana; Betty “Rose” Baker of Auburn, Indiana; Ruby Baker of Hamilton, Indiana; Christopher “Lum” (Beatrice) McPherson of Auburn, Indiana; Joseph “Jay” (Carol) McPherson of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; Andy (Ann) McPherson of Lake James, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; by her siblings: Earl, John, Sarah, William, Tommy and Pearl McPherson; by one daughter, Betty “Jeanie” Young.
Fay was a homemaker; she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, working on computer and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Bruce Head, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Joint Township Hospice. Condolences may be conveyed to the family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
