James G. Kleinhenz, 82, of 301 North Walnut Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 9:35 P.M. Friday, January 28, 2011, in the emergency department of Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born January 16, 1929, in Saint Marys, the son of Ray and Mabel (Klosterman) Kleinhenz.
He married Shirlee Clifford on July 16, 1949 and she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his five children: Michael (Merrilee) Kleinhenz of Saint Marys; Kay (Kim) Nagel of Union City, Tennesse; Mark (Susan) Kleinhenz of Saint Marys; Linda (Larry) Ahlers of Roswell, Georgia; Nan (Jon) Ricard of Springboro, Ohio; by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; by a brother, Robert Kleinhenz of Celina.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Ray Kleinhenz, Jr.
Jim was a 1947 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Saint Marys. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 767 in Saint Marys. Jim enjoyed golfing and fishing, and he built and sold birdhouses. He will be remembered for being a wonderful grandfather. He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Tom Mannebach, celebrant. Private family burial rites will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street in Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to the Friends of Holy Rosary Church. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M.
