Paul R. Katterheinrich, 70, a longtime resident of Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, and formerly of New Knoxville, died Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Auglaize Acres in Wapakoneta, OH.

Paul was born April 4, 1937, in Auglaize County, the son of Hiram and Jessie (Brown) Katterheinrich.

He is survived by:

· Brother, Roger (Pam) Katterheinrich, Bremen, IN

· Sister, Janet (Jerry) Wellman, New Knoxville, OH

· Brother, Rex (Janet) Katterheinrich, Wapakoneta, OH

· Numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by an infant sister, Janice Katterheinrich.

Paul retired from Auglaize Industries in New Bremen, OH.  He had previously worked at Hoge Lumber, Manbeck Nursery and Deigle Canning Factory.

He loved sports, especially OSU football, Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns.

He was a member of the New Knoxville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the New Knoxville United Methodist Church, the Rev. Brian Vinson officiating.  Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church, where memorial donations may be directed to the Auglaize Acres Activity Fund.
