Sharon C. Johns, 64, of 17414 County Road 66-A, St.Marys, OH died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at her residence following an extended illness. 

She was born October 31, 1943 in Lima, OH, the daughter of Charles and Wanda (Houck) Boedicker. 

She married James Johns on December 8,1962; he survives at the residence. 

She is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Jamie (Doug) Maze, of Westerville, OH

¨ Daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Boysell, of St.Marys, OH

¨ Daughter, Kristina (Jerry) Lotz, of St.Marys, OH

¨ 7 grandchildren:  Jessica (Tony) James; Justin Nagel; Alex Maze; Jacoby Maze; Whitney Johns; Austin Lotz; Jaden Lotz

¨ 2 great-grandchildren

¨ Stepmother, Gloria Boedicker, of Wapakoneta, OH

¨ Mother-in-law, Eleanor (Bill) Hoenie, of Celina, OH 

She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Sharon was a 1961 graduate of Wapakoneta High School.  She was a homemaker.  She was an active member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, where she had served as financial secretary and was a member of the Women’s Society.  She had been a volunteer at Agape Ministries in St.Marys and also at Joint Township Hospital in St.Marys.  She had served as a Brownie leader and had belonged to the Spencerville Young Farmers Association. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. 

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Miller Funeral Home,1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Mary Kay Brown, officiant.  Burial  will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, OH.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home where memorial donations may be directed to the Friends of the Library or Auglaize County Cancer Association.
