Harold “Pete” Huff, 70, of 802 Bryarly Circle, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 4:30 P.M. Friday, February 26, 2010, at Saint Ritas Medical Center in Lima, following a brief illness.

He was born February 9, 1940, in Wayland, Kentucky, the son of Claude and Maggie (Banks) Huff.

He married Julia Knous on June 5, 1959 and she survives at the residence.

He is survived by his two daughters: Patsy (Mark) Sprunger of Berne, Indiana; Angela Huff of Saint Marys; by a grandson, Caleb Sprunger of Berne; by his siblings: Anna Laura Drummond of Saint Marys; Eugene (Ruth) Huff of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Harvey Huff of Saint Marys.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, James.

Pete was a 1959 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He served in the Ohio National Guard. He retired from Avco New Idea in Coldwater. He had formerly worked at the Saint Marys Foundry.

He was a very active member of the First Wesleyan Church in Saint Marys and had served as a Lay Minister at the church. He had also served as Sunday School Superintendent, Bible School teacher and song leader at the church. He will be remembered for his kind heart and dedication to Christ.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Ron Lambert, officiant. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the First Wesleyan Church. Condolences may be sent to the family via Millerfuneralhomes.net
