William C. Henning, 79, of 513 Webb St., St.Marys, OH died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 3:42 a.m. at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St.Marys, OH. 

Bill was born March 6, 1931 in St.Marys, OH, the son of Harvey and Louise (Horn) Henning. 

He married Marilyn J. Lee on November 15, 1951 in St.Marys and she survives at the residence. 

He is also survived by:

¨ Daughter, Karen (Leroy) Keith of St.Marys, OH

¨ Daughter, Kimberly (Joel) Hirt of Genoa, OH

¨ Son, Michael (Mary) Henning of Sandusky, OH

¨ Son, Mark (Sarah) Henning of Pinckey, MI

¨ 9 grandchildren:  Emily, Sara, Christopher, Jamie, Kyle, Andrew, Erica, Matthew and Rebekah

¨ 6 great-grandchildren:  Tyler, Aaron, Jaden, Tristin, Brayden and Abigail

¨ Brother, Harvey Henning, Jr. of FL

¨ Sister, Martha Nagel of St.Marys, OH

¨ Beloved dog, Chloe He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers:  Edwin, Herbert and Eugene Henning.

Bill was a 1949 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School and he retired from Goodyear after 42 years primarily as a draftsman.  He was an avid motorcyclist and bicycle rider and a Roughrider fan.   Bill was a charter member of the Auglaize County Buzzard Baiters Club where he built, flew and repaired his own planes.  He enjoyed playing cards and bowling.  He took meticulous care of his lawn and garden. 

He was a member of the St.Marys Eagles Lodge.  He attended the Wayne Street United Methodist Church.  He will be missed by the family that he loved. 

Visitation for Mr. Henning will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 2 at Miller Funeral Home, Ohio 703 West, St.Marys, OH.   

Funeral rites will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the funeral home.  Private burial rites will be held at the family’s convenience.
