Dorothy J. “Dot” Heidt, 75, 2119 Deerfield Court, St.Marys, OH, died 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Liberty Retirement Community in Centerville, OH.

She was born January 22, 1932 in St.Marys, the daughter of Clem and Mary (Frederick) Nuse and they preceded her in death.

She married Melvin Heidt on September 9, 1951; he preceded her in death on May 28, 2003.  Melvin and Dorothy were fortunate in that they were able to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary in September of 2001.

Dot is survived by:

·     Daughter, Deborah (James) Heintz, Centerville, OH

· Granddaughter, Haley Christine Heintz, Centerville, OH

· Sister, Marjorie (John) Steva, Waverly, OH

· Some very close friends

She was a 1950 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School.  She was a life member of St.Paul’s United Church of Christ in St.Marys, where she had worked as a financial secretary for over 25 years.

Dot enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her granddaughter who was the “light in her life”.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High St., St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Patrick McKinney, officiant.  Burial will follow at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen, OH.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8, Monday, June 18, 2007 at the funeral home where memorial donations may be directed to St.Paul's United Church of Christ Endowment Fund.
