Robert Hegemier, 80, of 8471 St. Rt 33, Celina, Ohio, died suddenly at 8:56 A.M. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.

He was born October 16, 1927, in Celina, the son of Harvey and Helen (Dickman) Hegemier. They preceded him in death.

He married Mildred Marlow on February 16, 1960; she survives at the residence.

He is survived by three children: Karen Hegemier of Celina; LuAnn Hegemier of Celina; Dale (Christina) Hegemier of Pandora, Ohio; by two step-children: Conley (Edith) Parker of Clearfield, Tennessee; Marilyn (Lamar) Carver of Jacksboro, Tennessee; by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Rachel Hegemier.

Bob was a 1945 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He was a retired farmer and truck driver. He loved farming and talking about politics and he was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.

Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 2, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church.
