Nelma L. Hecht, 90, formerly of 413 Arlington Street in St.Marys, OH died 1:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the JTDM Hospital in St.Marys.

She was born August 11, 1916 in St.Marys, OH to Lee & Ruth (Fee) Fannon.

On January 10, 1941 she married Godlieb J. Hecht, who died October 6, 1995.

She is survived by:

· Son, Larry (Sue) Hecht of New Knoxville, OH

· Son, Richard Hecht of St.Marys, OH

· Son, Mick (Betty) Hecht of St.Marys, OH

· Daughter, Diana (John) Powell of North Port, FL

· Daughter, Terri Cable of St.Marys, OH

· Numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren

· Brother, Chuck (Martha) Fannon of St.Marys, OH

· Brother, Everett Fannon of Rockford, OH

· Brother, Fred Fannon of South Dakota

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Ruth Fannon; husband, Godlieb Hecht; daughter, Janet Wietholter; son, Ronnie Hecht; son, Jerry Hecht.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress at the former Villa Cerise Restaurant in St.Marys.

She was a member of the St.Marys Church of God, the VFW Post # 9289 Auxiliary, American Legion Post # 323 Auxiliary all in St.Marys and Eagles Lodge Aerie #691 Auxiliary in Wapakoneta.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cooking for her family (especially fried chicken).

Services for Mrs. Hecht are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at Miller Funeral Home (703 West Chapel), St.Marys,Ohio.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St.Marys.

Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
