David “Howard” Hardin, 40, 1145 Indiana Avenue, St.Marys, OH died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at his residence.

He was born October 31, 1966 in St.Marys, the son of Freddie and Lana (Carpenter) Hardin.

· Brother, Freddie (Sheila) Hardin, Wapakoneta, OH

· Grandmother, Mary Hardin, New Bremen, OH

· Best friends, David Harden and Wes Triplett

He was preceded in death by his father; by a daughter, Samantha Hardin; by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Rachel Carpenter; by his paternal grandfather, Adrian Hardin.

Howard was a 1985 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School.  He was employed as a materials handler at Lear Corporation, Sidney, OH.

Howard enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR races, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and taking his family camping.  He was a person who always wanted to help others; he took an annual fishing trip known as the “Troutfest”.

He was a devoted and loving father who had a special bond with his 3 sons.  He was a member of Eagles Lodge 767 in St.Marys and the Harley Davidson Club.  He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in St.Marys, OH.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Rd, St.Marys, OH, Rev. Tim Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St.Marys, OH.

Visitation will be held Monday 2-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Rd., St.Marys, OH.  Memorial donations may be made according to the donor's choice.
