Ricky Lee Hans, 51, of 691 Coventry Green, St.Marys, OH, and formerly of Findlay, OH was found dead at his residence on Friday, December 14, 2007, according to the Auglaize County Coroner, Dr. Thomas Freytag. 

He was born June 5,1955 in Lima, OH, the son of Louis and Mary (Cathcart) Hans.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Celina, OH. 

He first married Linda Ballinger Harner and she survives in Celina.  He is also survived by his former wife, Karen Fortman Hans, of Findlay, OH. 

In addition to his mother and former wives, he is survived by:

¨ Daughter, Susan Coutee (and James Gray), Celina, OH

¨ Daughter, Lisa Hans, New York City, NY

¨ Son, Nathan Hans, Findlay, OH

¨ Son, David Hans, Findlay, OH

¨ 2 grandchildren: Makaela Coutee and James Gray, Jr.

¨ Sister, Linda (Blasé) Oleyar, Botkins,OH 

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Ricky was a 1973 graduate of St.Marys Memorial High School.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy.  He retired from the University of Findlay and he had worked in the hazardous materials cleanup industry. 

He enjoyed fishing and studying history, especially the Civil War and WWII.  He enjoyed music, was a drummer, and had a band in his youth. 

He was a member of the Celina VFW and the First Presbyterian Church in St.Marys, OH.

Funeral services for Ricky will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 20,2007 at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High St., St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St.Marys, OH.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the American Lung Association.
