Velma Grace Hamp, 77, of 03251 Clover Four Road in New Bremen, Oh died 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at her residence. 

She was born September 17, 1932 in Odum, GA, the daughter of Willie Lee and Alma (Thompson) Bohannon. 

On March 19, 1949 in Folkston, GA, she married Melvin O. Hamp, who passed away on November 18, 2008. 

She is survived by:

¨ Son, William L. Hamp of Sarasota, FL

¨ Daughter, Lynnell (Gregg) Wibbeler of St.Marys, OH

¨ 4 grandchildren:  Emily (Chris) Castiglioni, Kara (John) Timm, Liza (Andy) Richardson, Joshua Hamp

¨ 2 great-grandchildren:  Olivia Castiglioni, Kiya Richardson

¨ Sister, Vera Pritchet, of Clayhill, FL

¨ Sister, Helen Burch of Lawtey, FL

¨ Brother, Robert (Earline) Bohannon of Jacksonville, FL

¨ Brother, Jim (Shelly) Bohannon of Citra FL 

She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Bill Bohannon and two sisters:  Marge Bohannon and Jean Bohannon. 

Velma was a homemaker who cherished her family.  Her kitchen was always full of the good smells of her wonderful baking.  She loved to go fishing.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 29, 2009, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, the Reverend Bill Drummond, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5-8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Dialysis Unit of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital or the Auglaize County Cancer Unit.
