Judy Kay Gross, 62, of 15140 Valley Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio, died 5:44 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2012, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima.
She was born December 24, 1949, in Lima, the daughter of the late Woodrow and Onolee (Miller) Piehl.
She is survived by her two sons: Darrel Gross of Wapakoneta; James (Amanda) Gross of Wapakoneta; by a step-daughter: Melinda (Rod) Ritchie of Wapakoneta; by a granddaughter, Allison Gross of Wapakoneta; by two step-grandchildren: Cassandra Gross and RaShell Gross; by a great-granddaughter, Melody James. She is also survived by her siblings: Stephen (Diana Moeller) Piehl of Cincinnati; William (Diane Bambauer) Piehl of New Knoxville; Fred (Diane Doseck) Piehl of New Knoxville; Julie (Mike) Pine of Columbia City, Indiana; by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by one nephew, Woody Piehl.
Judy was a 1969 graduate of New Knoxville High School. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also had a great love for animals and pets and enjoyed going fishing.
She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, February 3, 2012, in the Heritage Room of the First United Church of Christ, the Reverend Chuck Moeller, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Friday in the Heritage Room of the church, where memorial gifts may be given to the Radio Broadcast Fund of the church or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
