Robert H. Grimm, 71, of 5438 Robert Road in Celina, OH died 1:25 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at his residence.
He was born October 26, 1938 at Behm’s Landing in Mercer Co., OH to R. Lloyd and M. Bernice (Behm) Grimm.
On June 29, 1991 in Walnut, CA, he married Christine E. Dutra, who survives.
He is also survived by:

He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, S. Michael Grimm; sister-in-law, Laura P. Grimm.
He was a 1957 graduate of Celina Senior High School and attended the University of Maryland.
A career military man, he entered the service the day after his high school graduation. He retired from the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Senior Chief Aviation Mechanic. He then worked nine years as a civil servant for the Naval Air Test Center in Patuxent River, MD where he was an integral part of the Test and Evaluation Program for S3 aircraft retrofit. Eventually, he retired from Lockheed Missile & Space Corporation in Sunnyvale, CA, serving as a Quality Assurance Engineer for the space shuttle, missile and satellite programs.
Following his retirement, he returned to his childhood home, serving as a partner in the operation of Behm’s Landing & Restaurant on the south shore of Grand Lake St.Marys.
He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons (32nd degree) and the Ancient and Accepted Order of Scottish Rite. While in the Shrine Club, he served in the same clown unit as movie star John Wayne.
His strong beliefs in working towards the preservation and promotion of the lake were well-known. He served as a Trustee of both the Lake Improvement Association for eight years and successfully chaired their fundraiser, “The Barstool Open,” for three years. He also served on the Board of the Lake Development Committee for four years.
He was passionate about the sport of fishing, enjoyed woodworking and the art of ceramics. Also, he greatly enjoyed working with the planning committee for his high school class reunions.
Private family funeral services will be held. In addition, a public memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Robert Grimm will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 (rain or shine) at his residence located at 5438 Robert Road on Behm’s Landing. Following the services, full military honors will be conducted by members of the United States Navy Honor Guard.
