Harry “Lloyd” Goodwin, 76, 926 Hendricks Avenue, Saint Marys, died 11:09 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2010, at Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.

He was born July 6, 1933, in Saint Marys, the son of Aaron and Dana (Apgar) Goodwin.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Barlage Goodwin, who survives at the residence.

He is also survived by his three childen: Harry “Bub” Goodwin, Jr. of Celina; Kim Goodwin (Charles Mowery) of Montezuma; Donna (Paul) Kaler of Montezuma; by two step-children: Liz (Dennis) Block of Saint Marys; Aaron (Jennifer) Tuttle of Saint Marys; by 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren; by two siblings: Albert “Sluggo” (Judy) Goodwin of Saint Marys; Judy Taylor of Saint Marys; by two half-brothers: Larry Goodwin of Kentucky and Bob O’Day of Vandalia, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ruth Mae Goodwin; by his siblings: Aaron Goodwin; Jim Goodwin; Butch Goodwin; William Goodwin; Rosemary Osting; Betty Dunlap; Ruth Barudy and Shirley Olgavee.

Lloyd was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member and former commander of VFW Post 9289 in Saint Marys; American Legion Post 323 in Saint Marys. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and camping; spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved traveling to Kentucky to visit friends.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bruce Head, officiant. Burial, with military honors conducted by VFW Post 9289 and American Legion Post 323, will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the Auglaize County Cancer Association.
