Ned A. Glass, 72, of 710 Stoneybrook Drive in St. Marys, OH died 6:37 a.m. Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Lima Memorial Health System, in the presence of his loving family. 

He was born March 11, 1939 in Noble Twp .– Auglaize Co., OH to Ivan “Mike” and Ruth (Rasneor) Glass. 

On December 26, 1959 at St. Peter’s Evangelical & Reformed Church in New Bremen, OH he married the love of his life, Christine F. Richey, who survives. 

He is also survived by: 

Son, Michael (Jan) Glass  of St. Marys, OH

Daughter, Christi Mae (fiancee’ David Leugers) Buehler  of St. Marys, OH

Daughter, Angela L. Glass  of St. Marys, OH

3 grandchildren: Shane (fiancee’ Angie Koverman) McCollum, Kristy M. McCollum, Madison (fiancee’ Eddie Whitman) Glass

3 great-grandchildren:  Wyland, Colton & Adelyn

Sister, Barbara Glass  of St. Marys, OH

Uncle, Joseph Henne  of Cridersville, OH

Aunt, Fay Rasneor  of St. Marys, OH

Aunt, Myrna Glass (Mrs. Ed)  of St. Marys, OH

Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and numerous friends 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan “Mike” and Ruth Glass; 2 sons, Dougie Allen Glass (5) and Jeffie Allen Glass (1 ˝), both died in 1972; sister, Shirley McEvoy. 

He was a 1957 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys.  He was retired from the Ford Motor Co. - Lima Engine Plant, where he worked in machine repair. 

He was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Free & Accepted Masons Mercer Lodge # 121 and Eagles Lodge Aerie # 767, all in St. Marys. 

He was a gentleman farmer who also enjoyed woodworking and fishing. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he put his family before all else in this world.

A celebration of Ned’s life is scheduled 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 10, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys, with Pastor Steve Weatherly, officiating. Private family burial will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to either Walnut Grove UMC or St. Peter’s Neurological Center.
