Betty Jean Gilbert-Lawson, 50, of 06144 Ohio 127 South in Celina, OH died 2:05 p.m. Wednesday May 7, 2008 at her residence, following an extended illness.

She was born June 25, 1957 in St.Marys, OH to William F. & June E. (Chilcoat) Kiefer.

She was first married to William Gilbert, who died in 2001. She later married Stephen D. Lawson, who survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents William & June Kiefer; first husband, William Gilbert; brother, Robert Kiefer.

She was a 1975 graduate of Memorial High School in St.Marys.  Betty had worked in the dietary department at several area nursing homes.

An avid bowler, she also enjoyed tending her flower garden.

Services are scheduled 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 10, 2008 at the Miller- Long & Folk Funeral Home (High Street Chapel) in St.Marys, with Pastor Judy Ball officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery, in St.Marys.

Visitation for family and friends will be held 3 - 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home on High Street.

Memorial contributions may be directed to any hospice program.
