Iva Jean Gibson, 77, of 111 Clearview Court, Saint Marys, died Friday, October 28, 2011, at the Golden Living Center, Saint Marys.
 

She was born January 14, 1934, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the daughter of Rubin and Woodie (Webb) Burns.

 

She married Kenneth Gibson on June 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.

 

She is survived by her two children: Gary (Charlene) Gibson of Saint Marys; Lisa (David) Coates of Scottsburg, Indiana; by nine grandchildren; by one brother, Reverend Jack (Opal) Burns of Saint Marys.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Burns; an infant sister, Mavis Burns.

 

Iva Jean was a graduate of Bell County High School in Bell County, Kentucky. She retired from Trim Trends Corp in Spencerville. 

 

She was a member of Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Marys. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
 

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at Samaria Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Marys, the Reverend Denny Hunter, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to Samaria Missionary Baptist Church.
