John “Jake” F. Frey, III, of 520 N. Pear Street in St. Marys, died Sunday November 6, 2011 at his residence.

He was born August 9, 1971 in St. Marys, OH, to John II and Mary (Makley) Frey.

On September 20, 2003 in St. Marys, OH he married Hope Hall, who survives.

2 grandchildren:  Aireyona Thornsberry and Dayveon Smith

He was preceded in death by his son John Frey IV and his life partner, Maxine Miller.

An avid sports fan, he enjoyed attending all types of events with his family. He was an ardent supporter of St. Marys Roughriders, SM Broncos, The Ohio State University, and Tin Cups Baseball. Each year, he put together a family team for the SM Summerfest softball tournaments.

Services are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday November 11, 2011 at Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
