Victor Frederick Fledderjohann, 87, of 10876 State Route 66, Saint Marys, went to be with his Lord at 5:45 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2008, at JTDMH, after a brief illness.

He was born January 12, 1921, in rural New Knoxville, a son of Frederick A. and Clara (Henkener) Fledderjohann. On May 4, 1950, he married Helen Schrolucke and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2001. Also preceding him in death were his mother and father and step-mother, Emma (Lageman) Fledderjohann; his brother, Edward; sister Viola Bushman; brothers-in-law Richard Bushman and Harold Schrolucke; sister-in-law Evelyn Schrolucke.

He is survived by three sons; Craig (Karen) Fledderjohann; Neal (Cindy) Fledderjohann and Ned (Bonnie) Fledderjohann, all of Saint Marys; by seven grandchildren: Andy Fledderjohann of Charlottsville, VA; Derek Fledderjohann of New Knoxville; Beth Fledderjohann of Cincinnati; Jennifer (Carl) Whitlach of Suffern, New York; Benjamin (Ashley) Fledderjohann of Spencerville; Trenton Fledderjohann of New Knoxville; Meredith Fledderjohann of New Knoxville; two great-grandchildren: Caroline and Pierce Whitlach.

Victor graduated from New Knoxville High School in 1939 and was a lifelong dairy farmer. He especially enjoyed helping on the farm, visiting with his friends and family, and supporting and attending the activities of his grandchildren. He was named the 2004 Ranger Fan of the Year by the New Knoxville Civic Assn.

Victor was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, serving as an Elder, Trustee, Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He was an appraiser and officer for the German Farmer Insurance Company; a member of the board of directors for Auglaize Landmark, and an Auglaize County Farm Bureau Member.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 15, 2008, at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, the Reverend David Williams, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday in the Heritage Room of the church, where memorial donations may be directed to the Radio Broadcast fund or youth ministry fund.
