Birchie “Lee” Fisher, 81, of 126 Longview Court, Saint Marys, Ohio, died suddenly at 3:37 P.M. Thursday, July 22, 2010, in the emergency department of Joint Township Hospital in Saint Marys.

He was born January 29, 1929, in Liberty Township, Mercer County, Ohio, the son of Birchie and Charlotte Belle (Hole) Fisher.

He married Lillie Mae Liggett and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by his two children: Bruce Fisher of Saint Marys and Mae Fisher of Saint Marys; by a sister, Ruth (Larry) Snook of Portland, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife; three brothers: John, Buck and Paul Fisher; by three sisters: Pauline Braun; Florence Weaver and Iva Alt.

Lee was a 1947 graduate of Celina High School. He served in the United States Army Reserve. He retired from Reynolds and Reynolds Corp. in Celina.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Private family burial rites will be held at Swamp College Cemetery near Celina.

Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the family.
