Betty Ann Dunlap, 84, of 215 South Pear Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 2:25 P.M. Friday, May 22, 2009, at the Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.

She was born November 20, 1924, in Kenton, Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Amanda (Burden) Adams.

She married James Dunlap on March 11, 1944 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2000.

She is survived by her four children: Robert Dunlap of Saint Marys; Gloria (Chris) Sweeney of Saint Marys; Rose Dunlap of Saint Marys; Everett (Caroline) Dunlap of Saint Marys; by five grandchildren: Mike (Diane) Rosell; Melanie Felver; Misty Hadding; Basil (Angie) Felver; Eric (Samantha) Dunlap; by 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, James Dunlap, Jr; by five half-brothers: Karl Whited; George Whited; Roy Whited; Chuck Whited; Leroy Whited; and by one brother, Everette Adams.

Betty retired from the Saint Marys City schools, where she had been a custodian for many years.

She was a member and past president of Eagles’ Lodge #767 Auxiliary; a lifemember of American Legion #323 Auxiliary, where she was an avid bingo player; she loved her family, especially her children.

She attended the First Wesleyan Church in Saint Marys.

Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
