James “Bulldog” Drummond, 66, of 330 North Lynn Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 5:15 A.M. Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Joint Twp. Hospital in Saint Marys following an extended illness.

He was born January 23, 1941, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Willard and Marjorie Drummond. His mother, Marjorie Goodwin, is re-married and survives in Saint Marys; his father preceded him in death.

He married Anna Huff Slone on November 19, 1976; she survives at the residence.

He is survived by seven children: Larry (Edna) Slone of Wapak; Ronnie (Bonnie) Slone of Saint Marys; Terry (Marilyn) Slone of Saint Marys; Art (Jan) Slone, Jr. of Saint Marys; Duane (Kathy) Drummond of Goodyear, Arizona; David “P.A.” (Tamie) Drummond of Wapakoneta; Dawn (Chad) Hennon of Saint Marys; by 19 grandchildren; by 26 great-grandchildren; by one brother, Bill (Paula) Drummond of Saint Marys; by one sister, Dorothy Daniels of Saint Marys.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Brenda Richardson.

Bulldog retired from the Mersman Bros. Corporation in Celina after 30 years of service. He belonged to the First Wesleyan Church in Saint Marys. He was an avid Roughrider and Ohio State Buckeye Fan; he loved camping and traveling to Hocking Hills area of Ohio where he love exploring caves with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, the Reverend Ron Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to the family.
