Marjorie V. Doseck, 87, a resident of Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community and formerly of 9505 Lock Two Road in Botkins, died 4:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Otterbein Saint Marys.

She was born May 24, 1921, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Frederick and Pearl (Humphrey) Stienecker.

She married William Doseck on December 9, 1939; he survives at the residence.

She is survived by her four children: James (Janet) Doseck of New Bremen; Suzanne (Richard) Trost of New Carlisle, Ohio; Wilma (Louis) Foglesong of Ironton, Ohio; Virginia (John) Webb of Sidney, Ohio; by 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; by one brother, Earl Stienecker of Saint Marys.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Harold Stienecker.

Marjorie was a 1939 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She retired from the Fisher Cheese Company in Wapakoneta and she was a farm wife. She was a member of Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen and she had been active in Gideons International for many years. She was a talented cook and baker and she enjoyed making handcrafted gifts. She was also an excellent seamstress.

Funeral rites will be held 1:30 Monday, November 24, 2008, at Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen, Pastor Thomas Sager, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Sunday, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to the Otterbein Saint Marys Benevolent Fund; Darke-Mercer Hospice or Gideons International.
