James A. Dingledine, 70, of 6793 Anderson Road in Celina, OH, died 8:00 a.m. Tuesday January 8, 2008 at his residence.
He was born March 7, 1937 in St.Marys, OH to Charles & Marie (Pohlabel) Dingledine.
On August 5, 1961 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys, he married LaVera Ann Dorsten, who survives.
He is also survived by:

¨ Brother, Thomas (Mary Lou) Dingledine of St.Marys, OH

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles & Robert Dingledine.
He was a 1955 graduate of Memorial High School in St.Marys.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in a reserve unit for six years.
Mr. Dingledine the majority of his working career with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. After 32 years of service, he retired as Deputy Chief of District # 3 in Northeastern Ohio, overseeing 16 parks in that area. Prior to his appointment as Deputy Chief, he was manager of the Grand Lake St.Marys State Park for nearly ten years.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for fishing & hunting. Moreover, he was a strong supporter of wildlife conservation and enjoyed bird watching and creating habitat for local wildlife around his home in Celina.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at the Miller Funeral Home, Ohio 703 West Chapel, St.Marys, OH, with the Rev.Anthony Cutcher, officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Grand Lake Area Home Health and Hospice Program.
