Mary Ann Dietz, 81, formerly of 03739 Glynwood Road in St.Marys, OH died 4:02 a.m. Tuesday October 28, 2008 at the Golden Living Center - Valley in St.Marys.

She was born August 16, 1927 in Mercer Co., OH to Joseph & Regina (Reithman) Bruggeman.

On July 16, 1949 at St.John Catholic Church in Maria Stein, she married Leo N. Dietz, who survives.

Son Timothy, (Anita Hartley) Dietz of Springboro, OH

Daughter, Cynthia (Lynn) Sawmiller of St.Marys, OH

Daughter, Loraine (Tom) Bernard

Sister-in-law, Ruth Bruggeman of Maria Stein, OH

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Regina Bruggeman, sister Grace (Clifford) Dietz, sister Beatrice (Walt) Boehmer, brother Richard Bruggeman, infant brother Jerome Bruggeman,  brother-in-law Clifford Dietz.

She was a 1944 graduate of St.John’s High School in Maria Stein, OH.  Mrs. Dietz was a homemaker and had been office manager of the former S & W Motel in St.Marys.

She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar-Rosary Sodality in St.Marys, and served on the Auglaize Co. Board of Elections in Noble Twp. for many years.

A devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes included embroidery and bowling in the Thursday women‘s league at Varsity Lanes in St.Marys..

Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled 11:00 a.m. Friday October 31, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church 511 E. Spring Street in St.Marys, with the Rev. Anthony E. Cutcher, celebrant. Burial will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery, in St.Marys.

Visitation for family and friends will be held  4 - 8 p.m. Thursday and 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home (High Street Chapel) in St.Marys.
