Virginia DeMora, 71, of 100 East 216th Street, Euclid, and formerly of Saint Marys, died May 22, 2009, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born July 25, 1937, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Jerome and Ruby (Huffman) Weadock. Her father preceded her in death and her mother survives in Saint Marys.
She married William DeMora and he survives at the residence.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her two sons: William Paul DeMora and Michael Jerome (Christi) DeMora; by two grandchildren: Kirstyn and Mikey DeMora; by a sister, Ruth (Ron) Langsdon of Saint Marys; by two brothers: Mike (Barb) Weadock of Saint Marys; Stephen Weadock of Sidney.
Virginia was a graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School and Bowling Green State University. She was an educator for many years, having taught in the Euclid and Orange School Systems for many years. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. She was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, the Reverend Bill Maki, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Saint Marys Community Foundation or Acid Maltese and Deficiency Association.
