Alma Davis, 84, formerly of 1125 Nagel St., St.Marys, OH and a resident of the St.Marys Living Center, died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the St.Marys Living Center.

She was born October 27, 1922, in Minster, OH, the daughter of Herman and Catherine (Huecker) Berning.

She married John J. Davis on April 29,1942; he preceded her in death in 1975.

She is survived by:

· Son, Fred (Kris Stalzer), Toledo, OH

· Daughter, Linda Mills, Union City, IN

· Daughter, Dixie Mortimer, Lima, OH

· Daughter, Jennifer (Gary) Heffner, St.Marys, OH

· 17 grandchildren

· 30 great-grandchildren

· 1 great-great-grandchild

· 5 step-great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Jerry Davis; a son-in-law; Richard Mills; 2 grandchildren, Brian Davis and Jill (Stalzer) Primas; by a great-granddaughter, Sophie (Heffner) Kerr; by 3 sisters and 6 brothers.

Alma retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St.Marys after 52 years of service. She enjoyed her work and her family as well as reading, crocheting, embroidering, and word search puzzles.  She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday,Sept.12,2007 at Holy Rosary Church, Fr. James Seibert, celebrant.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St.Marys, OH.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High St., St.Marys, OH, where memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
