Jeffery P. Dammeyer, 46, of 10348 Tri-Township Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 12:58 A.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Joint Township Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born May 18, 1962, in Saint Marys, the son of Kenneth and Ann (Meyers) Dammeyer.
He married Sheila Schaaf on Septembe 28, 1985; she survives at the residence.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents: Kenneth (Renee) Dammeyer of Churubusco, Indiana; Ann Dammeyer of Saint Marys; by his two children: Jeremy (Christine) Dammeyer, currently serving in the US Army in Iraq; Jamie Lee (and fiance Eric Nieberding) Sutter of Saint Marys; by one grandson, Drew Dammeyer; by his maternal grandmother, Florence Meyers; by a brother, Kenneth (Shirley) Dammeyer of Saint Marys; by his two sisters: Beth Slife of Saint Marys and Lesia (Kurt) Arnett of New Knoxville; by a half-brother, Adam Dammeyer of Churubusco; by his father-in-law, Joe Schaaf of Saint Marys.

Jeff was a 1980 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He had been employed as a crane operator at Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Saint Marys. Jeff enjoyed hunting for arrowheads, fishing, golfing, hunting, farming, NASCAR races, rooting for the OSU Buckeyes and spending time with his family. He was a member of Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ in Saint Marys.

Funeral rites will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Father Louis Schmitmeyer, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 P.M. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, where memorial donations may be directed to St. Peter’s Center for Neurological Development.
