Charles C. Clifford, 93, formerly of 331 Jay Street, St.Marys, OH died 6:50 a.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Celina Manor, Celina, OH. 

Charles was born December 23, 1915 near Ohio City, OH, the son of Charles and Anna (Hauter) Clifford. 

He married Dorothy Wieman on September 14, 1946 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys, OH and she preceded him in death on September 10, 2002. 

He is survived by:

¨ Son, Charles “Tim” Clifford, St.Marys, OH

¨ Daughter, MaDonna (Mark) Puthoff

¨ 4 grandchildren:  Abby (Jonaton) Riedel, Ted (Megan) Puthoff, Katie (Randy) Pohlman and Elizabeth (Dave) Meyer

¨ 8 great-grandchildren 

He was preceded in death by his wife, infant daughter, Mary Diane, his two brothers: William and Stanley Clifford and his two sisters:  Mary Beckstedt Grimm and Thelma Hardin. 

Charles attended the Celina City Schools and received his diploma in recognition of his World War II  service.  He was a self-employed furniture refinisher and upholsterer.  He was a WWII veteran who had been a member of the WFW and the America Legion in St.Marys and the Disabled American Veterans.   

He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 511 E. Spring St., St.Marys, OH with the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. 

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, St.Marys, OH and one hour prior to the service.
