Anna Chirco, 75, formerly of 277 Koenig Road, Saint Marys, Ohio, died February 4, 2008, at the Cridersville Nursing Home.

She was born March 31, 1932, in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of Corbin and Mamie (King) Schell.

She married Joseph Chirco on July 6, 1953, in Sicily, Italy and he died December 15, 1983.

She is survived by one daughter, Dolly Chirco of Celina; by two close friends she considered “adopted” daughters, Cheryl (Dave) Simms of Saint Marys, and Vivian June Keith of Saint Marys; by three granddaughters: Heather and Amber Schrolucke of Chicago and Kristina (Bill) Eleyet of Bellefontaine; by a grandson, David (Kelly) Simms, currently serving in the US Army; two great-grandsons, Brad and Alex Simms. She is survived by one brother, Don (Retha) Schell of Saint Marys.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Anna was a 1950 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She had assisted in the operation of Schell’s Landing for many years. She loved all kinds of animals and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching movies. She was a member of the Lima Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 11, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys.
