Thomas F. Carver, 78, of 524 Locust Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, died 2:15 P.M. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys.
He was born May 27, 1932, in Printer, Kentucky, the son of Janie Carver. He married Eileen Losh on July 18, 1958 and she preceded him in death in 1988.
He married Eva Brown-Bigelow on November 24, 1990 and she survives in Saint Marys.
He is also survived by his three children: Sherry (Bob) Barga of Celina; Mary (Todd) Shellabarger of Saint Marys; Kathy (John) Sampson of Saint Marys; by two step-children: Larry (Julie) Bigelow of Sarasota, Florida; Cindy (Greg) Snyder of Saint Marys; by 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.
Tom retired from the Minster Machine Company after 30 years of service, where he had worked in electrical maintenance.
He enjoyed woodworking and watching nascar. He will be remembered as a very happy guy who loved his dear cat, Charlie. He was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Harold Liess, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to Hillsdale Baptist Church in Saint Marys.
