Anne Elizabeth Burnham, 82, of 220 Parkway Drive, St.Marys, OH and formerly of Dayton, OH died Monday, June 22, 2009 at St.Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, OH after a brief illness.

 She was born July 9, 1926 in Greene County, OH, the daughter of George and Catherine (Linsmeyer) Darner. 

She married Rupert Burnham on April 12, 1947; he survives at the residence.   

She is also survived by:

¨ Daughter, Marcia (Dugan) Klosterman of  Van Wert, OH

¨ Daughter, Adele (Denny) Walls of St.Marys, OH

¨ 9 grandchildren: Melissa Sinning, Brian Klosterman, Julie Mearkle, Mark Klosterman, Megan Klosterman, Chad Klosterman, Ben Klosterman, Jennifer Coffey, Derrick Walls

¨ 6 great-grandchildren

¨ Sister, Marie Boyd of Dayton, OH 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bruce Burnham; three sisters: Louise Griffis, Rose Platania and Mary Nadalsky; by a brother, Tom Darner. 

Anne was a 1944 graduate of Fairborn High School.  She had worked as a secretary at the B and O Railroad in earlier years and was a homemaker. 

She was an active member of the Auglaize Mercer YMCA.  She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre; she played softball into her late 70’s. 

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St.Marys, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, June 26 at Holy Rosary Church, with burial following at Gethsemane Cemetery, St.Marys, OH
