Bill Burden Sr. 76, of 591 Locust Street, Saint Marys, died 1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 20, 2009, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born November 12, 1933, in Wapakoneta, the son of Vernon and Agnes (Winemiller) Burden.

He married Edythe Triplett on March 9, 1957; she survives at the residence.
He is also survived by his two children: Bill Burden, Jr.  of Columbus, Ohio; Angela Burden of Saint Marys; by a sister-in-law, Ruth Burden of Wapakoneta; by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Dorothy Burden, Dean Burden, Donald Burden and Wayne Burden.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.

Bill was retired from Huffy Manufacturing in Celina.

He loved watching football. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Ed and Sandy Whitman for their help and support during this difficult time.

Graveside burial rites, with military honors, will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2009, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, with Darrel Pennington, officiant.
