Sandra Kay "Sandy" Brock-Martin, 64, of 909 Motz Street, Saint Marys, died 1:15 P.M. Sunday, April 24, 2011, at the Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.

She was born September 3, 1946, in Saint Marys, the daughter of John and Grace (Brown) Brock.

She is survived by her two daughters: Carissa Martin of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Lori Oregon of Newport,North Carolina; by four grandchildren: Kyleigh Webb; Brennon Webb; Justine Oregon; Kasey Oregon; by one great-grandchild: Laytton Oregon; by one brother and three sisters; by her best friend, Sue Gasson of Saint Marys, with whom she had made her home for the past 25 years; by a very close friend, Amy Abbott of Saint Marys; by her former husband, Joe Martin of Celina.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her close friend, Paul Gasson.

 

Sandy was a 1964 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and playing cards.

 

Private family funeral rites will be held at a  later date.
