Dean A. Brewer, 71, of 712 W. North Street, St.Marys, OH died 3:55 p.m. Tuesday May 31, 2011 at St.Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, OH. 

He was born in Sneedville, TN on September 28, 1939, the son of Huston and Dora (Mathis) Brewer. 

He is survived by his wife, Ethel (Mullins) Brewer, whom he married on December 10, 1957 in Sneedville, TN.

Son, David (Julia) Brewer of St.Marys, OH

Daughter, Robin Brewer of St.Marys, OH

Son, Jarrod (Carmen) Brewer of St.Marys, OH

Daughter, Debbie (Dale) Ball of St.Marys, OH

12 grandchildren

15 great-grandchildren 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ben Brewer; brother, Junior Brewer; sister, Gladys Holt; sister, Ruby Richards. 

He attended Claiborne County Schools in Sneedville, TN. 

He was a retired production employee for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in St.Marys, OH. 

He was an active member at St.Marys Missionary Baptist Church , where he had served as a deacon and song leader. 

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and followed the Cincinnati Bengal and the Tennessee Volunteers Football Teams.  He played guitar and loved singing blue grass tunes. Above all, he was a family man who greatly enjoyed and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Funeral rites will be held Friday, June 3, 2011, 10:00 a.m., at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St.Marys, OH, the Rev. Dennis Hunter and Rev. Alva Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St.Marys, OH.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2.
