Kenneth R. Block, 55, of 100 West Spring Street, Apt. 202, died 1:11 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 at the Ross Heart Hospital, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
He was born March 21, 1954 in Coldwater, OH, the son of Francis and Rosemary (Stamm) Block.
He had previously been married to Judith Market and she survives in St.Marys.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ken was a 1973 graduate of New Bremen High School, New Bremen, OH. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served as a sergeant. He had worked at the Huffy Corporation in Celina for many years.
He was the immediate past commander of the American Legion Post 323 in St.Marys; he was also the past commander of the Auglaize County Veterans’ Organization, where he had also served as chaplain. He enjoyed watching his kids participating in all kinds of sports. He enjoyed go-kart racing and was also an accomplished artist who worked in both oils and watercolors. He enjoyed music and played the trombone and organ.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH, the Very Rev. Dr. David Williams, Officiant. Full military burial honors will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, July 20, 2009 at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, OH as conducted by the United States Marine Corp. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH where American Legion Post will conduct memorial services at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the Auglaize County Special Olympics.
