Eva Bigelow–Carver, 82, formerly of 524 Locust Street in St. Marys, OH died 9:50 a.m. Thursday January 5, 2012 at JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born July 15, 1929 in Langley, AR to Lon and Lenora (Cowart) Brown.
Survivors include:
son, Larry (Julie) Bigelow of Sarasota, FL
daughter, Cynthia (Greg) Snyder of St. Marys, OH
step-daughter ,Sherry (Bob) Barga of Celina, OH
step-daughter, Mary (Todd) Shellabarger of St. Marys, OH
step-daughter, Kathy (John) Sampson of St. Marys, OH
12 grandchildren 5 great-grandchildren
sister, Charlene Mazzo of Rialto, CA
sister, Ina (Jerry) Gilke of Ft. Worth, TX
She was preceded in death by: parents Lon & Lenora Brown, 1st husband Harold Bigelow, 2nd husband Thomas Carver, brother Rupert Brown, brother Jadie Brown, sister Leslie Auritle, sister Mabel Parker, sister Etna Bloomstrand, half-sister Freddie Taylor
She was a 1946 graduate of the Langley, AR High School.
She was a retired production employee for the former Mersman Corp. in Celina, OH.
She attended Hillsdale Baptist Church and was a member of VFW Post # 9289 ladies’ auxiliary, both in St. Marys.
Her favorite pastimes included woodworking, painting, sewing, cake decorating and making birdhouses.
Rites are scheduled 2:00 p.m. Monday January 9, 2012 at Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday and after 1:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
