Viola Bergman, 90, of 18244 Auglaize-Mercer County Line Road, Celina, Ohio, died 3:45 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2007.

She was born July 13, 1917, in McCartyville, Ohio, the daughter of John and Catherine (Prenger) Frilling.

She married Norbert Bergman on February 14, 1953; he preceded her in death on December 9, 2002.

She is survived by her three children: John (Karen) Bergman of Celina; James (Donna) Bergman of Marlboro, Connecticut; and Cathy Bergman of Celina. She is survived by five grandchildren: Andrew, Leslie, Michael, Tommy and Lea Bergman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her siblings: Leo, Charles, Bernard, Aloys, Ray, Julius, Clarence and Lawrence Frilling and Margaret Farno.

Viola was a homemaker and assisted in the operation of the family farm. She attended Minster High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, and the Altar Sodality of the Church. She was a member of the DAV Aux. in Wapakoneta. She enjoyed reading, canning food and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Saint Marys, the Reverend Anthony Cutcher, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial donations may be directed to the Endowment Fund of the Church.
