Glenn W. Bayless, 82, of 71 Southmoor Shores Drive, St.Marys, OH and formerly of Dayton, OH died 2:45 a.m. Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Joint Township Hospital in St.Marys, OH.

He was born July 3, 1926 in Dayton,OH, the son of Glenn and Mildred (Lambers) Bayless.

He married Edwina Ridenour on September 27, 1947; she preceded him in death on September 15,1990.

He is survived by his three children:

Son, Glenn (Maureen) Bayless of Elyria, OH

Son, T. Bruce Bayless of Dayton, OH

Daughter, Katheryn Bayless of St.Marys, OH

2 grandchildren:  Glenn Bayless of Elyria, OH and Scott Bayless of Botkins, OH

1 great-granddaughter, Lillian Bayless

He was preceded in death by his parents, by one brother, Hal Andrew Bayless and by one sister, Nancy Bayless.

He graduated from Stivers High School in 1944 and attended Otterbein College.  Glenn was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during WWII.  He retired from the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia.  He enjoyed duck hunting, trains and steam engines, big band music and living on Grand Lake St.Marys. He was a member of Horace A. Irvin Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons #647 in Dayton, OH.

Private family funeral rites will be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Agape Ministries in St.Marys, OH in care of Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St.Marys, OH 45885.
